25 cents a shave ice!

I have wanted to open a shave ice stand at a local park or someplace, but I have never got the chance. Now that our cousins and other family have come from the east coast, I had the perfect chance to unleash my dream. It came true one evening, when we worked nonstop making shave ices in little foam cups, ( we made about 40 or so ) and packed up all our supplies and drove to the park. As you can see in this picture, it all started with a large white piece of paper, being swarmed upon by 5 cousins (us) decorating with paint pens, normal pens, pencils, and Sharpies. I decorated it with some 3d shave ices, and we tied it up on a tree as soon as we got there, having forgotten tape. We had brought a set up table, and a large package of defrosted Otter Pops, and we lined all the otter pops up in rainbow order, ( we made up the flavors ) being: Fruit Punch, Grape Ape, Sweet Strawberry, OH MY GOSH Orange, Sublime Lime, and last but  not least, Blue Raspberry, also being the most popular flavor; we had about a 4th left when we were done. We had unlimited customers, who usually came in clusters and groups of 3 or 4, according to the dutiful service of my brother, who went around "advertising". The process was: A customer would come up, and I would grab a shave ice out of the ice chest, and we would ask the choice of juice (listed above). Then we would proceed to dump the one or two defrosted otter pops on the shave ice, and then stab a spoon in and a straw and add a napkin, according to the customer's choice. We had to have an Otter Pop cutter (who also poured the juice) and an napkin/spoon/straw hander, and a shave ice getter outer, and a shave ice hander. So it all worked out perfectly, and in the end we earned over $30, and when home, divided it among us. My friend and his family came, and he gorged himself on shave ice generously slathered with topping. In all, our booth at the park was gloriously fun, and ended well.

LAKE CHABOT, WHERE THE MOUNTAIN LIONS ROAM!

On the 7th and 8th of April 2018, my family went on a vacation to a camping spot we all know and love. Anthony Chabot is a beautiful eucalyptus forest encased by gorgeous rolling green hills. We call the campground: Lake Chabot, because there is a amazing green lake that laps the land below the campground. Yet, the lake is diagnosed with a sort of lethal allergy that prohibits swimming. Too bad, you might be thinking. But, its not that bad. There is hikes that loop about the campground, and being close to Tilden Little Farm, we went there and hiked a majestic hike called Sylvan Trail, (we suffered much gobs of mud from the rain) that led us to an stony overlook that covered all of San Francisco, the Golden Gate, and more! Now, you might know what to do when you see a mountain lion sashaying across your path in he wilderness. You make yourself as loud and big as possible (even if it includes taking your shirt off) and throwing items at it until it runs away. This probably won...
