Beach Bums #2

For those of you who have watched Despicable Me 3, then you know the part when Lucy and her daughters get into the car and Lucy screeches: "Mother daughter bonding time! Woo woo!" Well, this is what we did last weekend. It was such a surprise when my mom asked me if I wanted go on a trip together, just me and her. I said yes! that would be awesome! We decided on  where we would go (Sunset Beach) what we would do (go to the Boardwalk, go rollerskating, go to the beach, go to the bookstore, and get bagels at the Bagelry!) On the way, my mom and I listened to a consecutive series of audios called Passport 2 Purity. A couple who narrate it talk about things like dating, growing up, and which friends you should choose, and other stuff like that! It was very influential and it gave me a lot to think about. Well, I shall describe the things we did together. First, when we got to camp, we set up camp, ate lunch, and then went to the Santa Cruz Bookstore and the boardwalk.

BEACH BUMS

Hi! It's me, back again with a great post about our camping trip to Sunset Beach. Yeah, the sunsets are absolutely divine! And what's more, when you enjoy them with friends, then they're even more great! Let me tell you, put this place on your bucket list of places to go! Ahh, a mesmerizing white-sand beach, plenty of sand dollars, sea shells, and mini-shells, roaring green waves, and you can even see Monterey Bay from the beach. (pic 1#) BUT WARNING! If you are allergic to anything green, growing, pollen-giving, then you should not leave your house without some eye drops and allergy pills. But looking on the bright side, I played most of the time with my little friend, who is turning 4 soon. She is so adorable and this is a picture of me and her below the one of the ocean. Her cousin and us played at the beach for a whole day, and I even think I wrenched a muscle attempting to dig a giant hole! I also built over 15 sandcastles out of molds, and wow, was I tired tha

SNOW DAZE!

Ahoy! Refresh yourself with S.N.O.W! S stands for Super! N stands for Nice! O stands for O So Cold! W stands for Wow! Have you been to the snow this year? (2018) If you haven't, there's still plenty of time left to head up past the Valley Zone and into the Snow Zone. We went up near Lake Tahoe and into a winter wonderland! It went from no snow to all snow in a matter of minutes! While the sun was still shining brightly in the sky, we strapped on our snow gear and headed for the hills! The first hill I did was a little puny foot tall hill. When I got to the real deal, I sledded at full speed down a snowy slope and finally touched the bottom after a great deal of trying to stop my sled. In the process, and very strangely as well, my boots and my socks fell off periodically down the hill. When I finally stopped myself, I pulled my boots and socks back on the sled and trekked barefooted up the hill. DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME OR WHEN YOU TRAVEL TO THE SNOW! O yes, I was in th

Homemade Ice Cream By Hand in 6 Easy Steps!

I know that it is December and that you're probably not in the mood for ice cream, but I'm putting a post on here about making your own ice cream. ( You can also save this recipe for summer!)  All you need is the following. ( You are the ice cream machine). I am demonstrating this with hot chocolate mix, but you can use whatever flavor you want. . 1 gallon bag ( Ziploc) . 1 half gallon bag ( Ziploc) . 3 cups crushed ice . 1/3 cup rock salt ( the kind you use for regular homemade ice cream) . 1 packet of hot chocolate powder packet ( or whatever flavored powder is your  priority) . 1/2 cup Half and Half milk ( you can find them in cafes) . 1 tablespoon sugar (optional) That's it! So easy, right? So now, to make it. Step 1#. First, dump your hot chocolate packet into a half gallon bag. ( Use it all!) This is the time to add in 1 tablespoon sugar. Step 2#. Secondly, add your 1/2 cup Half and Half into the half gallon bag. Step 3#. Set aside your half gallon bag, and

A bottle of hydrogen peroxide (Preferably 40% hydrogen peroxide from Sally Beauty) . A whisk . Some dish soap . Food Coloring (optional) . Measuring spoons . Warm water . Baking yeast . A tray (or a designated place for messes!) Now, for fun!!!! Step 1#. Put your beaker on the tray. Pour 1/2 cup of hydrogen peroxide into the beaker. Step 2#.
