The Lord of The Rings is a wonderful fantasy about a young hobbit named Frodo Baggins who sets off to destroy the One Ring, forged by Sauron and desired by the wretched creature Gollum. Join him as he travels through Middle-Earth, and meets beasts that he can defeat or be beat by.
Out Of My Mind is a novel about a young girl named Melody diagnosed with cerebral palsy. This disease enables other kids to laugh at her and to make fun of her. She is very, very smart for her age, and her teachers don't know that. When she is invited to participate in the Whiz Kids trivia, an event happens that she will never forget. It changes her heart forever.
The Hunger Games is a thrilling adventure set in North America. When sixteen year old Katniss Everdeen takes the place of her twelve year old sister in the annual Hunger Games, where young contestants fight to the death in an open terrain, she doesn't know what she's in for. Teamed up with her friend Peeta, she rides the rocky road of love, danger, and friendship, all while dodging land mines and arrows.
Wonder is about little August Pullman, whose face was severely deformed. When his mother and father encourage him to face other kids in a real school, he accepts the challenge with a little objection. But when he gets to middle school, he is faced with adversity like never before. After braving the thorns of cruelty and bullying, he finds his way into a loving world of friends and teachers, where he is a wonder of a child.
The Evolution of Calpurnia Tate is about a young girl who is very curious about biology. She joins up with her old grandfather, who is a botanist, and discovers different creatures living in the water, the land, and the trees. Calpurnia uses Charles Dickens "The Origin of Species" to help her identify and study about the variety of things she finds. Teamed up with the hilarious flare and dare of her everyday life, this charming tale is to die for.
All-of-a-kind-family is a cute tale about the everyday life of five adorable little girls, their ages counting by twos. Ella is twelve, Henny is ten, Sarah is eight, Charlotte is six, and Gertie is four. Follow along as these girls go shopping with their mother, pay library book fines, get in trouble, and get in fun!
Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus is about a girl in middle school named Aven. Aven Green is a beautiful girl, who lives in a desert wild west village with her parents. She seems like a normal girl, likes ice-cream, likes exploring, likes her friends. But Aven has no arms. This diagnose is a mean challenge for her, but when she meets a boy with tourette syndrome, she befriends him and braves the world of disability versus normality.
Now, if you haven't ever read Calvin and Hobbes, I suggest you pick up one right now. I guarantee is to be satisfactory on even the gloomiest, saddest, morose days of your life. From Calvin trying to outwit Hobbes with a water ballon or a flag, to him scheming different ways to get rid of his disgusting dinner, to radiating rudeness toward Susie Derkins, his archenemy, he's sassy, sarcastic, savvy, and super!

You should read In the Time of the Butterflies. It is a great book based on the historical events in the Dominion republic when Trujillo ruled. It follows the story of the Mirabel sisters and the tragic murder of three of the four sisters.
