Hi everybody! Today I'm back with a post about one of my latest favorite past-times:
Translating popular theme songs, pop songs, and others through Google Translate several times. It may seem confusing, but once you get the hang of it, it's not that hard.
I will be revealing the simple steps to creating your new song .
. First you have to remember you are using Google Translate, one of the most unreliable Google apps. When you want to say " Hey, how are you?" in a different language, you might as well be saying:
" Hey, goldfish socks?" Usually Google Translate translates correctly. But not always. I have experienced this myself with using Swedish. So to prove Google Translate wrong, several people have taken a popular song (I did Stressed Out, by Twenty Øne Piløts) and translated it through several different languages, then back into English. The results are hideous! Not only can somebody not recognize the song, the lyrics are completely crazy! For Stressed Out, instead of
" My name's Blurryface, and I care what you think," it was
" I'm a Plan and I'll keep you!" Weird!!!! So this, my friend, is how you change a song forever.
Step 1#. Choose your song. A popular song, your faves, kid's show theme songs, they all work. Try not to choose something really long and complicated.
Step 2#. Copy down the lyrics on a Google doc, then highlight the lyrics, and copy them.
Step 3#. Open a new tab for Google Translate. Choose English as your detect language, then a different language for your translate, then paste your lyrics!
Step 4#. Press the copy translation button down below, and then delete the lyrics. Choose the foreign language you chose as your translate, and put it as your detect language. Next, paste your lyrics after choosing new languages. Then, do it all over again, and again, until you are done.
Step 5#. Choose your last language as your detect language, then English as your translate!!! Voila!!! Cray-cray! Your song should be all messed up!
Step 5#. Now, print out your original song, and the messed up one! Compare the lyrics! How different can it get? Show your siblings, your friends, your parents, and look at their faces. Even better, sing the messed up version without smiling!!!
