Ah yes. Pure paradise. We took a 14 day exhilarating trip to Maui with our grandparents, our cousins, and my aunt and uncle. We left for the bustling airport at 3:30 in the morning, and soon after were flying joyfully to our humid destination. So far, I've been to Maui twice, so this is my third time going. And we also left on the Fourth of July too! It was quite sunny, and we occasionally had sunburn dilemma's, yet we fixed it up and didn't let it defeat us. Sometimes it rained, usually a gentle sprinkle though. Frequently, the cloudy days came and a cool mist or muggy heat surrounded us as we walked or played or swam.
If I could sum up our trip in one word, here goes: Swimming.
Basically, we used up the majority of time every day swimming at least once, either in the Big Pool, the Small Pool, or the ever-changing ocean. The Big Pool is the largest pool at Maui Kaanapali Villas, and at every moment, there are 2 or way more people swimming in it. The Small Pool, on the other hand, is what is seems. Small, quiet, less people, right next to our condo: It was our favorite the entire time.
Need an icy cold treat to pep up your mood? Visit Ululani's Shave Ice, (in my opinion), the finest, tastiest, most truly flavorful, shave ice.
Once you have it, you'll probably think of it as Ooh-La-Lani's! We went twice in Lahaina and once in Paia. The flavors I chose were kiwi, guava and pink lemonade.
Do you specialize in nibbling on juicy, scrumptious burgers? Then the place for you is Cool Cat Cafe, on Front Street in Lahaina. They feature a wide variety of certain burgers and sides. If you want to hear a dessert option, they serve root-beer floats. If you can't live without pizza, never fret leaving your good old Round Table or Pizza Hut. Lahaina Pizza Co. is here to save your day. Also on Front Street, L.P.C is widely renowned for their scrum-diddly-umptious pizza.
Wow, you might think. Front Street must have everything. And....it does. Did I ever mention that Ululani's is placed right in the thick of this this bedazzling tourist zoo? They even
sport several amazing art galleries that continuously made me go: " Cool! Wow! Woah!"
Another drink that we quenched our thirst with (70% of the time) was Pee-Oh-Gee P.O.G. Pog is a delish liquid made of Passionfruit, Guava, and Orange. It is the Hawaiian drink to "tickle you pink."
During our trip, I created my own newspaper that came out only once, although I was in the process of creating a second one, called Maui Wowie! It proclaimed several new items we had purchased in Maui, such as a giant blue and silver floatie.
I also advertised Shark Talks, long speeches about sharks and how to avoid and protect yourself from experiencing an attack. But this was only delivered to our family, and not to the other vacationers staying in the condos nearby.
The combination of
1. Shave Ice
2. Swimming
3. Cousins and Grandparents
4. The most wonderfully perfect landscape of Maui
created a vast memory of the quality kind. But if you have not been to Maui, I suggest that you persuade someone to go with you, because its Will Be The Best Week/Month/ Of Your Life!!!!!
You are so right about every moment of our trip. Every second was filled with fun and family. We enjoyed meeting and making new friends but most of all just being together. Family is the best anyone could be blessed with!!
